types

You are  Provisional member for one year.  After, you choose between the different types of membership:  ACTIVE, SUPPORTING, OR PATRON.  Most members are ACTIVE

New members are expected to give 30 hours of volunteer time during their provisional year. 
Ideally, five of those hours will be spent in direct volunteer service at one of our placement sites.
It is strongly recommended that provisional members attempt to visit as many project sites as possible in order to
become familiar with the services provided.  Evening and weekend opportunities are available for Provisionals 
who work full time during the week. 

There are four general meetings per year: (2 daytime and 2 evenings).  First year members are required to attend at least 2 of these meetings.

All active and provisional members are asked to pay dues of $50.

The President sends out a Weekly Update via e-mail to all members.  It is extremely important to read this update as it is the key to your active participation in CCS.  Upcoming events, service project news, volunteer opportunities, and last minute changes are communicated via our newsletter.     

 

At the Memorial Mass, held in May, all provisional members who have made a sincere attempt to meet the above
requirements will be inducted into the Dayton Chapter of the Christ Child Society.
