Christ Child Society of Dayton

Offering Support to the Children in Dayton Ohio

How We Serve:

  • Layettes

Mothers of newborn babies receive a collection of basic necessities: diapers, books, baby bottles, clothing, blankets, and other essential items.  All referrals are from social service agencies.

  • Clothe-a-child

Vouchers are provided to area social service agencies and school principals for school uniforms, coats, and shoes for children in need.

  • Challenging Young Minds

CCS members tutor children one-on-one and in small groups at Mary Queen of Peace schools.

  • Northcutt Residential Center

CCS volunteers offer mentoring, tutoring, and friendship for at-risk teenage girls during weekly visits.

  • Infant Grieving

Tiny white gowns, edged in lace, embroidered with the Candle of Life, are sewn by Christ Child Society members and distributed through area hospitals to parents who have lost a newborn child.

  • Erma’s House

Members monitor visits of children and their non-custodial parent and  volunteer where needed at this family visitation center.

  • Dayton Right to Life

Volunteers provide meals for nutritional education for young mothers.

  • Maria Joseph Living Care Center

Members plan a variety of programs to provide social activities for the residents.
